COULD THE BREAK IN THE MATERNAL BOND BE THE SOURCE OF ALL OUR PROBLEMS?

I’ve been curious and asking questions in my mind over and over as I nursed both of my babies…

“Why?? Why does it feel weird to feed my baby around people?? I am made for this! ….Women!! WE are made for this! It should feel normal, and not shameful, like you have something to hide.” Even in making this post, the ego I hear screaming at me yelling, "PUT IT AWAY, YA HUSSIE!!"

Have you ever sat to think about this? Or question this norm?

I really think it is bizarre that I am naturally made to feed my baby, but there is a subtle prompt that says, “Not here, go in private..”

We don’t eat in private as adults, but bring a boob to the table, it gets all weird.

Why, though??

Maybe because we see more pictures of sexualized breasts?

Has the mass media hijacked our breasts in the US?

Have the extreme marketing tactics of the formula industry (a $50 billion industry) hypnotized us into thinking our bodies lack the innate ability to nourish and provide immune boosting milk to our babies?

Have we thrown the sacredness of the breast out the window?

Has this created more room for us associating breasts more so as sexual objects, by misrepresenting them solely, as sex toys?

Could this also tie into why the porn industry is so lucrative, with violent images of women being objectified and abused?

Is this why toxic patriarchy is still rampant?

Women everywhere are constantly being distracted from their magnificence. We are focused on the appearance of our bodies and how sexy (or unsexy) they look; that we completely overlook the empowering loving strength that we possess. We are completely missing the incredible power we hold, because we are subliminally(not so subliminally) distracted from it. We are constantly pushed into feeling that we are not enough.

Why can’t we have at least a balance of BOTH??

I have no doubt that this energy of not enoughness seeps through our milk, and into our babies.

It has been the legal and social conditioning we have been hypnotized under. That’s what my tribe accepts as the social norm. Heck, it wasn’t until 2018 that breastfeeding in public was legalized in all 50 states. We are supposed to be such a liberated country, yet, here we are..

This just feels broken, doesn’t it?

Hardly do we ever see a breast in action feeding a child. I feel like what we don’t see is just as important as what we do see. What we don’t see also leaves an impression on our subconscious, and tells us how the world works. It subliminally/subconsciously roots in the distrust of our body's ability to combat disease, viral infections, pathogenic organisms, and many other foreign substances...

Are we okay with this??

My tribe continues to step further and further away from the natural world. Breastfeeding in public goes against what my tribe has set as appropriate in the past. Yet, we see billboards on every US highway with women displayed and quotes of “We BARE ALL”..

I think it goes deeper though. This is so much more than overly sexualized breasts, and breastfeeding.

It feels like my tribe has been going against nature and nurturing all together. We are ignoring the natural order of things, the way God has designed it. This creates chaos. We are out of harmony with the natural world. I believe the absence of this image, (intentionally(?) or unintentionally) disconnects us from nature.

What do you think this does to us?

It disconnects us from seeing the beautiful connection of a raw maternal love.

What do you think happens when we miss this?

It feels like we collectively experience a break in the Mom bond.

What does Mom energy have to offer?
The softer parts of us as humans. The omnipresent loving part of humanity. Maternal energy is compassionate, benevolent, nurturing(did I say that already??) connected..(did I mention that too??)
Maternal energy holds forgiveness without criticism.
Maternal energy we receive as infants sets the blueprint for how deeply we love ourselves and others.

Maternal energy shows us unconditional love. The bond that is formed with our mothers in the first few years of life, builds the foundation for all of our relationships.
It helps us connect to the world through deep empathy.
It's a spiritual connection. Breastfeeding is a visible physical expression of our oneness. It is a visible, physical expression of supporting and sustaining life.
It’s necessary, now more than ever.
I truly believe that most of our problems in this world stem from maternal energy not being received. They stem from the divine feminine being oppressed/suppressed/diminished...

When you look around, what do you see?
Addiction is running rampant, the increase in heart disease (heart disease is the number one killer of women in America) breast cancer (breast cancer is the number one cancer in women in the United States), uterine and ovarian and other gynecological cancers are also on the rise.
These dis-eases are direct reflections of the break we collectively experience in the sacred feminine/maternal bond.

It is chaos.
It is disharmony.

This reflects the separateness we collectively feel to mother earth.
Seeing a mother breastfeed her child in public has the ability to help us reconnect with the strength that raw maternal energy holds. Mother Earth makes exactly what we need to sustain life, and this is reflected in the milk a human mother produces for her babies. Yet we feel this needs to be a private moment. I want to challenge that thought process, (I am certainly challenging this for myself..) because what we do in private, when we do things without other people being present, is often because it is something that you want to keep secret.
We feel the need to keep it secret because?

Is the secrecy of the boob, exactly what creates the room for perversion?

We can reconnect with this, so that the world can properly heal. We can reconnect with this, so we can reconnect with God.

“Psalms 22:9-10 that that God makes himself known even to nursing infants: “…You made me trust you at my mother’s breasts…from my mother’s womb you have been my God.”

So where do we go from here? What can we do?
..Reconnect with the mother.. Heal the collective Mother Wound.
I don’t know of anything more sacred on this earth, more sacred than the physical, emotional and energetic bond of a mother and child. It may seem too small, but life changes can happen in micro moments like this.
Every single human on this earth came through a mother, that is a sacred gift. It’s the gift of life.

This is where healing as a collective can happen. We can do this as we open ourselves up to healing the divine feminine and balancing it with the divine masculine.
